Every spring during the months of March and early April, the annual migration of the Sandhill Cranes travel through Nebraska along a 60 mile stretch of the Platte River. They are magnificent birds with a unique sound that thunders throughout the River valley every morning and evening as they move to and from the River and nearby fields.
It is a favorite time for a friend and I to pick up our cameras and go bird watching. Enjoy some of this spring’s captures!

Loved seeing those strange looking birds!
